The Old Bell Hotel Voted the Best in Wiltshire Three Years Running
The Best of The Best
The Muddy Stilettos Awards are renowned for celebrating the ‘best of the best’, with readers all over the country voting for their favourite businesses within 28 counties. The winners of that vote making it through to the prestigious national finals.
We are completely thrilled!
“We are completely thrilled. Our team work so hard to make The Old Bell Hotel the jewel that it is, and this recognition means so much. Being an important part of this incredible community in this beautiful and historical town is what matters most to us and so the votes of our regulars is a great sign that we are doing our job well. Let’s keep everything crossed for the national award in July and win it for the second year running!” – Kim Hanks, Co-Owner of The Old Bell Hotel
Set in the historical borough of Malmesbury, Wiltshire, The Old Bell Hotel first opened its doors over 800 years ago, in 1220. These days, however, expect to be delighted by its spectacularly unique and stylish interiors following it’s top to toe refurbishment in 2021 by owners Kim Hanks and her husband, renowned antiques dealer and collector, Whit Hanks.
The on-site fine dining restaurant, Abbey Row, is headed up by the incredibly talented Chef Daniel Kerr. With hyper seasonal and local ingredients being his biggest inspiration, Daniel has the privilege of working directly with The Old Bell Hotel’s gardeners who grow much of the kitchen’s produce from their cousin property, the stunning kitchen garden at Abbey House Manor.
The hotel boasts 34 exquisite bedrooms, and four new townhouses each individually designed and furnished with colourful wall coverings as well as two stunning bar concepts – the 1220 bar and the fabulous Tyger Bar. The brand new Garden Room and courtyard are perfect for private parties, weddings and events.
