A Look Back at Summer
A Look Back at Summer and What’s Coming This Autumn
What a summer we’ve had here in Malmesbury! From long, lazy afternoons on the front terrace to days filled with food, music, and laughter at Abbey House Manor, this season has been marvellous!

Fundraising Fun!
One of our favourite summer highlights? Opening the gates of our beautiful Abbey House Manor Gardens for not one, but two special Open Days in support of Malmesbury Carnival. The gardens came alive with live music, a delicious BBQ, and hundreds of smiling faces soaking up the summer sunshine.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our owners, Kim and Whit Hanks, who donated 100% of the proceeds, and thanks to you — our wonderful community — we’re thrilled to share that together we raised a fantastic £5,727 for this fabulous local cause. A huge thank you also goes to the amazing Carnival volunteers who kept everything running seamlessly behind the scenes!

A Texan Twist That’s Here to Stay
Our Taste of Texas nights have been such a hit this summer that by popular demand, we’re continuing them into autumn! For just £65 for two — enjoy Bavette steak, triple-cooked chips, your choice of sauce + a bottle of Camp Lucy Malbec or Petit Verdot.
Fancy an upgrade? Swap to ribeye for £10pp, or go all out with our Côte de Boeuf platter (£100) — preorder only, and very worth it.
Spaces fill up fast, so book your table and make Wednesdays something to look forward to.

A Flying Success
If you’ve been wandering through Malmesbury this month, you’ll have spotted more than 50 scarecrows popping up across town — each celebrating “The Best of British”. We couldn’t resist joining the fun, so The Old Bell paid tribute to one of Britain’s finest aviation icons — the legendary RAF Red Arrows. Did you find us on the trail?

Fish & Chip Thursdays
We couldn’t wave goodbye to summer without giving you something new to look forward to…
Introducing our new Fish & Chip Thursdays, starting in September, tuck into perfectly crisp, golden fish and chips for £22, served with your choice of either a pint of beer or a small glass of wine. The perfect excuse to indulge in a true British classic — we can’t wait to see you there!
Here’s to Autumn… 🍂
