Book lovers can challenge the knowledge of razer sharp casts once again, festival frolics will begin at dawn on the beautiful ridge in lawn woods, over looking Swindon, at 5.30am on Spring Bank Holiday Monday 3rd May, with the ever popular Dawn Chorus, where festival-following early-birds will gather with Spring songs,sunrise stories, high-wire acts, verbal and physical acrobatics, music,Maypole dancing, hot breakfasts, plus a good deal of other early-morning merriment and mischie!

The new event is focused on aircraft built before 1965, and in 2009 visitors were given the chance to see more than 100 aircraft on each day – including stringbag aircraft such as Tiger Moth biplanes. There were also famous examples in attendance such as Austers, Cubs and a Miles Messenger –the type once used by Field Marshal ‘Monty’ Montgomery, one of the most well-known British generals of WWII, as his personal transport.
